  1. Macronutrients in food -Carbohydrates, proteins, fats.
  2. Micronutrients in food-Vitamins, Minerals & water.
  3. Introduction to basic foods & food groups including -cereals, pulses, milk & its products, fruits & vegetables, meat & poultry.
  4. Introduction to food exchange list, basal metabolic rate, Meal planning.
  5. Food adulteration, spoilage & preservation.

Module 2

  1. Nutrition through life cycle – infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, pregnancy, lactation, elderly.
  2. Gastrointestinal disorders.
  3. Liver & gall bladder disorders.
  4. Muscoskeletal Disorders.
  5. Cardiovascular diseases.
  6. Metabolic disorders-Diabetes mellitus, thyroid, PCOS, etc.
  7. Weight Management .
  8. Nutrition in cancer.
